I am sure they will end up cupping, I put 7"Wx2"thick red oak flooring down in my cabin and sealed it with gem coat and it cuped all to hell after a year.

I'm not too worried about the oak myself. when the truck is in use, the bed will be also. And I will have the walls and roof on my garage this next year, and it will house my ford.

My Father, and Brother are both master carpenters if they say it will be ok I just take there words for it. If it gives me problems, Ill just cut another tree.

I had some of them mud flaps about 15 years ago on a Nissan truck. A friend of mine brought them over when he was delivering some old mine belt to use as a front mud flap across the bottom on the radiator support.

He asked me if they where ok for me, I smiled and said, they fit the era of the years in the truck and would be great!

They where free, and get a free laughs.

Nice turbine rims. What makes your truck a 250 though? I count five lug axles.

The dana 60's I have laying in the back yard. I haven't quite got that far yet.
There will also be ARB air lockers, front and rear along with a atlas transfer case and airbags on all 4 corners.

Ahh.

How would you do the speed sensor in the rear with a 60?

I wish my wheels were that style, I'm afraid mine won't work with wider tires
Who needs a speed sensor for a basically woods truck right?

Since I see no slushomatic cooler lines in this pic...

...and he says it's off-road only, he probably doesn't need an ABS sensor (no speedo, no cruise, no ABS).

How 'bout it, ukv? What transmission did you install, and do you want the speedo to work?

The tranny is an m5OD, seen a picture of it in his albums, soooo if he has the what is it bw1345 or 1365 transfer case there's his speedo hook up, right?
And ABS is over rated.

I got rid of the rear ABS. My truck also don't ware speedo's , lol. J/K I really havent even thought about the speedo yet. Most of the time I use GPS anyways.. I believe it is a Bog Warner 1345, not sure witch one of the 3 I have out there I put in, its just a temp job anyways. But it is working great, and like everything els, I have gone over, and through it.

I have a 4 speed trans, but I put a 5 speed in the truck. I think it will do better with the atlas, and my brother wants to trade me a John deer tractor for my 4 speed.

The truck does have cruise control, for them long halls. It also has a drivers side Air Bag.

The 1345 is the one that would of been stock on a 150 with a sixxer and 5 speed. I'm not sure since yours came from a newer model but mine is cable driven from the transfercase. I'd imagine yours is somewhat electronic.

If you want cruise, you have to have a working speedo, which requires a working ABS sensor in the rear axle. Read this caption:

Your truck is different - that doesn't apply to you.

I figured the newer truck was more involved. Cruise is over rated, I don't plan on ever fixing mine.

I didn't even know mine worked, I thought it was broke and I've had the truck for pushing 5 years lol. It works like a charm, but the light doesn't come on, bulb is good, cluster was replaced (not because of this light, because I wanted a tach).

Are the axles the only things to make a 150 to a 250? I thought there was a stronger motor, suspension, brakes, etc. I don't know what you've put into this truck, or what the requirements of a 250 are. What else makes it a 250?

The badges make it a 250...
With the suspension that is under my truck it is badged as a 150 and tagged by the state as a 3/4 ton truck... 250.
But really the f250 would have bigger suspension and brakes and possibly a heavier frame? In these OBS years the body was the same and you could get the f150 motors and bigger motors too.
Also the f250 5 speed was the much better zf5 not the weaker m5od like the 150

It's easy, but if you don't want it to work...

What are you talking about? There is no cruise light.

No, the frame, brakes, tires, & suspension are also different. Everything else could be had in any chassis: engine, trans, t-case...
