Symptoms of bad EGR

I have a 1992 F150 with the 302 and have been searching the forum for problems similar to what I'm having. From what I've found, it could be the EGR but can someone tell me some exact symptoms the truck would be showing if there is a problem in this area? Also, how do you clean it or is just a replacement all together part (no servicing)?

Thanks,
Matt

Update: Cleaned carbon buildup out of the egr and the truck ran great for about a week. Cranked it up this morning and same as before....rough idle, almost stalling, no power at all when in gear. Turned it off and left it for the day. This afternoon, I cranked it and it runs fine. It has been in this cycle for about a month now. I used a paper clip and was able to pull codes 31, 32, and 33. Any ideas? Maybe coincidental, but it seemed that these issues began about a week after I ran sea foam through it. The truck has 117k miles on it.

So what are the definitions of those codes? Read this caption:

When you SeaFoamed it, did it ever backfire, even once? Have you checked for vacuum leaks with a stethoscope or 3' garden hose while it's running badly? You might have blown a gasket or hose loose.
