horn and cruise controll question

I have a 94 f150. The horn and cruise control do not work when the engine is running or the key is in the on setting. With the key in accy the horn will blow.
Any clue what I need to replace or repair
Thanks
Sky

I had the same problem on my 94 F150 too and after hours of searching and testing the actual horn to see if it worked i ended up finding out it was my airbag clock spring.

The air bag clock spring is located underneath the airbag (Im almost sure you have one) its a simple device that controls the horn, cruise control, and airbag systems.

The airbag clock spring can be easily be replaced in a couple of hours and not many tools are needed. Definitely Google how to replace the clock spring though since I ended up blowing a fuse. It was a pain in the a** to replace that little tiny fuse.

It is dangerous to work with the airbag system but if done properly on your spare time it can be accomplished and lead to major savings.

An airbag warning light that will not turn off or wheel mounted controls not working, point to a failed clock spring.
