got a dumb question

thinkin about swapping cams in my 93. do you have to tune a speed density motor? is that even possible? what would i have to do once i have the cam in for the truck to not run too lean or rich. i've only done cam swaps on carb'd motors

I think you accidentally clicked the 97-03 section, instead of Pre-1997...

but I'm sure you will get an answer. I just don't have one. :o

I don't think you can do much on a speed density, if you do it'll run like crap. You can get a MAF conversion I believe, then swap heads, intake etc to compliment the cam swappage. I know, these trucks need power, bad!

yeah i'm sorry i realized that after i posted it. i couldnt figure out how to delete the thread. haha i'm trying to avoid going with the MAF conversion. ive personally had lots of bad experience with it. if need be i'll convert it to a carb setup. and yes i plan on going with GT40 heads off a mercury mountaineer and a cobra intake and t/b off a fox body.
