idle problems

I'm pretty sure my idle is too high, I've checked for cracks in hoses and all is well. I just think the previous owner had the factory screw taken out, and he put his own adjustable idle screw. My 92 f150 5.0 comes with no rpm tach, so I can't see what its at. Any ideas on how to set it right?

If you can't find a stock '92-93 tach cluster in a local junkyard to swap in, buy the cheapest one you can find at a parts store & hook it up temporarily under the hood. If you want to install it semipermanently (I think they look like Krap), all the wires you need are in the stock instrument cluster connector, so don't go drilling thru the firewall. Read this caption & follow the link in it for info on pulling your cluster & swapping your PSOM into the replacement:

Follow the links in this caption for info on putting the throttle stop screw back where it goes ONLY IF it appears to have been disturbed (red threadlocker cracked/chipped):

If you want a stock tach cluster, e-mail me thru my SMN profile or my profile here about this one:
