I have a 1996 4x4 f150 that when i hit the gas enough for the front end to feel like it rises somewhat you and here a pretty loud "pop pop" that feels like its coming from the right side. I am pretty mechanically inclined but not a fan of workin on vehicles so when if i know whats goin on i can change whatever out but i can not trace down where teh noise is coming from. I dont really know what all to tell you to help figure out whats going on but if you have any questions that i can answer that will help please post them as this is really getting on my nerves.

Check your radius arm bushings.It could be that.
