1995 F-150 Keyless Entry?

1995 F-150 Keyless Entry?

I just got this and it didnt come with a Fob. The guy said he didnt know if it originally had one or not. I have power locks and windows, cruise control,a/c....can anyone tell me if the 1995 F-150 came with Keyless Entry?

It's an Automatic trans, 5.0

There was keyless entry back in 1995, it was called a brick.


(...yes, it was option 55S and cost $254)
Do This:
Cycle ignition from OFF to RUN or ACC eight times within 10 seconds, ending in RUN or ACC. All doors will lock then unlock to confirm programming mode...

If your locks cycle [lock/unlock] then you do indeed have a RKE module present, option 55S.
If your locks do not cycle then most likely there is no module.

Mine came with two fobs, (type 2 per steve's captions) and I still have them both. Over the years though, the range at which they work has shortened. Replacing the batteries in the fobs (and cleaning the contacts) didn't change anything and they both work at the same range, so I figure something inside the truck itself is the problem.

Doesn't bother me though, still long enough to work across a parking lot, just not from inside the house.
