First order of business? I'm gonna put that F150 emblem back on. The passenger side fender was replaced after the moose accident, but naturally replacement jobs never work as well as the original. They freakin' taped the emblem on! Lame.

So I talked to a friend of mine, he's retired Navy and works up on base, he's gonna get me some 'snot' as they call it, aka F-16 glue. I don't think it's going to come back off.

Also I was wrong about the truck's color, it's Oxford White, not Onyx.. not sure where I got that heh.

Then over the summers of me growing up, we drove it to well over 20 states (they took me to 38 total, but I flew to a few). Every 2 years he took it to our family mechanic and had it flushed, and anything rubber replaced, its really clean. Over the years as he's gotten older (83) he's sold the camper and let the truck sit(had 3 blow outs in one week, but yet all the tires had full tread). For my 21st birthday he gave it to me, with 55,314 miles. I have it today, and actually have been reviving it here lately, it sat for awhile in my garage too. 66,320 miles on it now, and I had to put a new distributor in, new shocks, plugs\wires, 2-way remote start, new stereo/speakers, FPR, fuel filter, tint, etc. Nice to see someone else thats as attached to a truck as I am lol! Congrats man!
Nice, got any pictures of it?

The correct adhesive is black outdoor double-sided foam (emblem) tape.

Which is pretty much what was used and failed to function as a permanent solution.

Pretty much isn't good enough. Indoor foam tape, or cheapo outdoor tape are wastes of time & money.

That doesn't mean there was anything wrong with the tape. It might have been applied wrong. Buy 3M outdoor or emblem tape, follow the surface prep instructions, and it'll work. Just look at all the trucks on the road whose emblems have never come off - Ford is still using this stuff today. Lowe's &/or Home Depot carry it in rolls for ~$10.

Good for you! I ended up with my grandfather's 69 f250 the same way. I wish he would have given it up 15 years sooner while it was still repairable but it's the thought that counts. And steve 83 is right about the 3m tape.

Well, alright. I guess it's possible the shop we took it to that replaced the fender either used the wrong tape or did the process incorrectly. I'll try it myself. Thanks guys.

Here's on from today, had a sending unit go out and a selector valve go out from sitting so long. Pn top of that, the hose inside the tank from the pump to the sender cracked and rotted on both pumps. I didn't know this before these pictures, I just had fuel problems. Easier to take the bed off lol, Body used to be cleaner, but we had a hail storm hit about 2 weeks ago so there's a few more dents than there used to be:
