Spring pocket question

Spring pocket question

So I got the pleasure of breaking a spring pocket today and was curious. As this is a common weak link in these trucks, does anyone make a better than stock replacement? Maybe thicker steel, or something?

Do you mean the shock/spring tower riveted to the frame (#3 in this diagram)?



How did it break, exactly? Got pics? The only problems I know of are rust & this:



But the stock one has lasted 17 years so far - how much better does it need to be? Just get one from Ford, RockAuto, JBG, LMC... Use this TSB to replace it:
