Ball joint removal on a 83 2wd F150

Ball joint removal on a 83 2wd F150
I am still trying to remove the balljoints on my truck and the top one won't move. Has anyone had this problem before?

Have you been soaking it in penetrating oil? Have you hit the SIDE of the steering knuckle around the ball joint with a BFH?

Ok, I got both ball joints out. I am having problems getting the lower ball joint seated all the way in.
