here we go again

I have a 1992 f-150 with the inline 6 motor and auto tranny. I have a receiver hitch on it and am curious how much I can tow. The rear axle ratio is 3.08. I think, if I'm reading the chart right, I can tow up to 5000 lbs. Does that sound reasonable?

4x2 regular cab - 4700, 4x4 regular cab - 4600. That is for a 96, which is as far back as Ford offers online owner's manuals. It can pull more than that, but it's going to be slow as snails - slow and steady wins the race.

Alright thanks. I think I'll be able to tow the little boat I'm looking at.
