The heater in our "free, brought back to life, farm truck" doesn't work.
The truck is a 1986 f150 302 v8 2wd
looking for the cheapest/best way to get ahold of wiring diagrams in order to fix this problem

Autozone's website has free online repair manuals. Basically identical to Chilton's. Some of the wiring is included but not all. You have to register and log in to access it under "repair info". Comes in handy and a lot of vehicles are covered.
Ford original manuals are often listed for sale on ebay. Search for "1986 Ford EVTM". The "EVTM" is the factory wiring diagram, the best you will find as far as completeness. It does not include the entire shop manual, so prices are reasonable.
