busted clockspring

is there any way to fix a horn, like rewire it to something else or whatever, without replacing the clockspring?

You could install a separate button for the horn, and run the wires to it. You would need to determine the wires involved by using a wiring diagram. Assuming this is a 94 F-150, I looked up a diagram. It looks like the wires will be dark blue and dark green/orange stripe leading to the clockspring. You can locate these wires under the dash where they start to run up the steering column, and cut them there. Extend them to a push button like the one pictured below from Autozone:

Click here to see on AZ site: Dorman horn button $3.99

To wire it in, see the diagram below:

My dads truck was set up that when he got it. It works but on the bottom of the steering column is NOT a good place for it unless you like to honk the horn almost every time you get in. lol

Remove the 3-way aligning harness on the new clockspring immediately before mounting the wheel over it. Do not get this out of alignment - it is set from the factory to be where it is. Do not let it spin once you remove the 3-way harness
I have a used steering assy I used the shift lever out of. Does the above Quate mean I cannt use that clock spring in my truck?

It means the LAST step before installing the steering wheel is to remove the alignment lock. For the full procedure, click my tan CV in my signature & read the captions in the Steering Column album.
