New owner/member... looking to ID a fitting on the throttle body.

I recently picked up a '94 F-150 with a 302, and I've been in the process of sprucing things up. There are 129,000 miles and its running great!

There is a fitting on the throttle body by the EGR that isn't connected to anything and I can't seem to find what it should be connected to. Any ideas? Its not mentioned anywhere in the Helms service manual and I can't seem to find any reference to it anywhere. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Looks to me like a coolant tube fitting. Radiator coolant would flow there to warm things up in colder climates. Look around to see if there's another in- or outlet (return pipe). The previous owner may have just taken that intake heater out of the loop - similar to when you re-route coolant away from a leaking heater core.

I posted about this on another site, and one guy mentioned that there should be another fitting in the empty hole about 4 inches below this one, and it is indeed a coolant fitting. Its been running fine, even through winter and the EXTREMELY cold morning we had this winter, so I guess its ok.
