95 F150 302 Exhaust Q

I just did my exhaust last night. Magnaflow Dual 2.25 in/3" out converter + full 3" catback with Magnaflow muffler.

Sounds great, just what I was hoping for. Noticeable power increase since one of the cats was getting a little shady.

Anyone deleted the airtube going in the top of the exhaust? I have it zip tied to the trans right now. I was going to pull it off and just shove a plug in the hole, but I was curious if anyone else has done this and how they did it. Thanks in advance.

Not a problem, if you don't mind premature Cat failure. It lowers it's op. temp when engine is under load.

I eliminated the cat after the airtube so I dont think that will be an issue.

FYI secondary air injection is designed to both help the converter reach a hotter temperature to ensure all hydrocarbons are eliminated and help the converter heat up faster in a cold start situation.

I Didn't say that's all it did. Thermactor Air Bypass (TAB) shunts air to the atmosphere, when no air is needed. When air is needed it sends air to the second valve TAD.
Thermactor Air Diverter (TAD) diverts air either to the exhaust manifold, or directly to the catalytic converter. (if there was one).
