I'm sure it can be done, but why? Unless something is totally messed up with the fuel injection system, I see no reason to go backwards. I'm also old school, but I like the fuel injection over a carburetor. If it aint broke, don't try to fix it.

real men carb it out. im just did the same thing on my 91 f150. look at some of the pics in my gallery. tommorrow ill get you the summit part numbers you need for the intake and such, youll need to find your own carb tho cuz i got one for free, any square bore will work, i recomend a edelbrock performer. the get a mallory distributor ( doesnt have to be mallory i just perfer them) and a mallory cdi box and your in business.

What are you planning to do about the transmission? The E4OD will not operate without the computer.

Hi Guys thanks for the advice, Big daddy I am thinking the same thing about the intake carb and ignition, however my biggest concern is the tranny, Do you have a E4OD tranny? I hear there is a kick down adapter like from a place by the nane of LOCAR? I;m also concerned about running a fuel pressure regulater, have any problems there?Lookin forward to your reply, thans.

your going to have to cut apart your engine wiring harness and take the fuel infected crap out, and leave you sensors and whatnot in place. thats what i did and i havent run into any probs yet. the kickdown cable bracket you need is by lokar and the part is # LOK-SRK-4000 it costs 24 bucks.

anyway i went with:
an edelbrock performer rpm intake- part # EDL-7121-$169.95
intake manifold bolt kit- part # EDL-8524-$24.25
a couple carb base gaskets- part # SUM-G1418-$1.95 each
some carb studs-part # SUM-G1423- $5.95
and a head gasket kit-part # EDL-7220- $14.95

for a carb im runing an edelbrock performer that i got for free but you can get them at autozone for 300 bucks, and i also have a carb space plate that was like 20 bucks. if your not going to run a spacer plate you only need 1 base gasket.

hope that helps

What did you do about fuel pressure? Carb only needs 6 or 7. FI is up about 40.

There is no kick down lever on an E4OD, no place for the cable to attach. All shifting is controlled electronically through the processor and the EFI sensor array on the engine.

What about the TPS? With the T/B removed, there's no throttle position sensor, nothing to cause the E4OD to downshift on demand.

If your tranny is cable operated, it's an AOD not an E4OD.

the truck will shift with the tps sensor it just wont kick down on demand. you could just manually downshift to second if you needed to. also why couldn't find a way to mount the tps to the carb?
