5.0 rebuild on lifted 2x4 advice
5.0 rebuild on lifted 2x4 advice
First post guys and sorry if this has been beat to death. I have been lurking and searching and have a hard time finding what i need to know.
Back ground, i have a 94 F150 2wd standard cab short bed with a 5.0. and an auto trans.
Goal, it will not go off road but will be lifted and somewhat of a daily driver. I am looking to either do a 6" or 8" lift with 35's or 37's respectively.
I have a roller block 302 from a Mustang project a while back. at present it is completely disassembled. I want to rebuild it and put it into the F150. Once the machine shop has confirmed that all the bottom end stuff is good i plan on rebuilding the bottom end with my stock components. What would be the best choice for a top end set up? Can i just get the stuff i would have put on my mustang as far as heads, intake manifold, and cam? Or is there a pretty good combo for building more torque over HP for turning those tires and drivability?
Thanks for the help guys.
