I've got a 1990 F150 with the 4.9 Inline 6 and I am tired of the quiet stock exhaust. I've got a SI/SO Flow 40 I could put on but I'm not sure how it would sound. Any reccommendations? Videos or sound clips would be wonderful too.

 

Right now I'm running no muffler at all on my '85. I just turned it out about two feet after my catalyst, dumps behind the cab.


Sounds ok.

 

i have a flowmaster super 40 si/so that turns out right in front of the rear tire and it sounds really good. it is loud too. i dont have a sound clip of it my camera does not have the great of sound.
my friend has a 89 with the 4.9 and he cut the pipe right at the y pipe coming off the headers and has 2 super 40s dumped right there, and very one that sees his truck thinks its a v8

i put a 8 in stack in the box with straight pipe of my 93 sounded great!
