My personal trick is drink beer cuss and eventually it will come off, you can have a 20 minute rant on who the XXXX designed the pos. Works every time.

i just replaced mine, the little metal tabs inside usually get bent, so i just take a small flat head screw driver and pull on the filter away from the line that your trying to get off, and use a flash light to look down in the end your getting off, and you might be able to pinch down the metal tab and then pull on it till it comes out a little bit, then try to get the rest of them the same way, or use multiple small screwdrivers, thats how i got mine out, or just pull really hard on it til it flies out and fuel goes everywhere, might need to get a new metal clip but atleast it will be out.

Hey fanboy,

Where do you get the special tool for the filter removal? I picked up the filter today and then began searching forums. Thanks for any suggestions.

I have access to autozone, carquest, napa, and advanced auto in town.
