rear diff oil

Unhappy rear diff oil

Replaced rear diff oil with Amsoil 75-140+ford friction modifier and now the rear is whining,94 F150 A40D 5.8 3.55 LS. Any Help?

80W90 is the recommended lube. I cannot see why the 75W140 would cause a problem though unless it's too thick to get into some of the roller bearings. It should not cause gear noise.

Wrong weight. The Amsoil application chart specifies 75W90, 80W90, or 75W110. 75W140 is for 1997+.
