Post Help!!! 93 f150 wont start

In need of help for my 93 I-6 4.9 liter. My truck has a power drain that seems to be coming from the #17 maxi fuse in the power distribution box. Any idea what runs off of that? Will only happen when I turn the ignition to on position. Goes from 11.75 volts on the battery to 8 volts and still dropping! When I turn the ignition back off, it starts going back up. Something is grounding out and not blowing any fuses. Just replaced the battery, alternator, and fender mounted starter solenoid. Could it be my starter itself? Thanks, Tim.

It could be the starter itself, I had mine on my 93 F250 die last week in the middle of plowing. It started up like normal at the beginning of the night then when the truck died because I hit the Hydraulic pump without giving some gas the engine died. Tried to start the truck and the starter was dead.

I would check your manual to see what that fuse goes to.

Otherwise you can try pulling the starter and taking it to an auto parts store capable of testing it.

So it ended up being a loose and corroded connection to the starter. Cleaned it off and hooked it back up and everything is normal. Thanks.
