Intermediate Rumble. U Joint? Tires? ?

I replaced my old tires, which i think were 8" wide, 28-29" high, with 9.5x31. I'm not sure if this caused a problem, but shortly after I feel an intermediate rumble (just like hitting rumble strips, except it vibrates the truck).

I took it to a mechanic and he thought it was a u joint, so he replaced it and it still happens. I haven't called the mechanic yet, but i'd really like to hear some thoughts on here first anyway.

If anyone might know what's going on, let me know! BTW I know auto basics, nothing more.

edit: It's a 96 F150 4wd

i had kinda same problem but mine didnt vibrate the truck it was like a earthquake so i did the (unsafe) thing to do i stuck my head out the window like ace ventura and watched my front end and sure as **** it was the death wobble i replaced all my tie rod ends and the tires were old and ****ty so they got replaced with the 39.5s and no more shake ... so all in all id say check the tie rod ends and make sure ur tires are ok also
