Block Heater

This is a pretty noob question but, i can i tell if my block heater is working? The reason why i ask is ive touched blocks with brand new heaters and at -20 to 0 degrees nothing feels hot.

u can use an ohm meter on the 2 main prongs but its not as good of an idication as load testing the circuit. The best way is to take a test lead and hook it to your battery + and then to one of the 2 main prongs on the cord(make sure no connections are touching bare metal befor the next step) then take a test light and put it between your battery - and the remaining prong on the cord. If the test light lights, your block heater is good
