truck downshifts on the highway

yeah but i need it to make it 2000 more miles im graduating from college next week and going home from florida to massachusetts
Get the TV cable adjusted properly. If it is out of adjustment or is adjusted improperly, it can burn the tranny up in short order. Adjustments are cheap, rebuilds are expensive

my truck has the aod and it did the exact same thing for about a week when i replaced the trans. we eventually took it to a trans shop and had them adjust the tv cable and its been great since as far as shift points go.
how much did the adjustment cost?
well the owner of the trans shop is a good friend and he just said warranty will take care of it. some shops may not even charge you for an adjustment. it doesnt take very long so i figure half hour labor at the most.
yeah. i guess ill get that done tommorrow. i was gonna put breaks on my truck but aparently the bolts on my locking hub requires a special allen wrench which no store sells. so i guess tv cable adjustment it is
