"T" is the AOD not the E4OD.

Check the TV cable for adjustment and sticking. That's the cable that goes from the throttle body to the tranny.

The AOD will not upshift from 4th to OD unless you back off on the throttle. That's a built in design feature which is one of the biggest complaints about it. It should shift 1-2 and 2-3 just fine at full throttle though. If it doesn't you have a problem.

Get the TV cable adjusted properly. If it is out of adjustment or is adjusted improperly, it can burn the tranny up in short order. Adjustments are cheap, rebuilds are expensive

Mine did the same thing. It'd downshift all the time, didn't matter what you were doin goin down hill, up hill, sideways, backwards or upside down. It ended up bein my TPS.

my truck has the aod and it did the exact same thing for about a week when i replaced the trans. we eventually took it to a trans shop and had them adjust the tv cable and its been great since as far as shift points go.

well the owner of the trans shop is a good friend and he just said warranty will take care of it. some shops may not even charge you for an adjustment. it doesnt take very long so i figure half hour labor at the most.
