a/c problem

a/c problem

i recently posted that my heater wont work, well i fixed that problem. it was a vacuum line going to what i think is a check valve, its located in the passenger side corner right above the blower motor, can anyone tell me what that is.

It operates a diverter door inside vent work between the A/C cooling & Heater cores. If you must know!

so if the vacuum line was disconnected from it and i put freon in the system would that keep it from working

The a/c would work anyway if in fact it was working. It's like "Yah, it's snowin out there, but the doors closed!" Does the compressor come on?

yea it comes on, last can of freon i put in there i could smell it through the vents so im gonna say that i have a leak somewhere
