Can anyone tell me where the cruise control module/amplifier is located at, on a 1994 Ford F150 XLT 5.0 engine? Ford Dealership say they have no factory manuals that cover cruise control for 94'. The repair guide says its behind the instrument panel. The part replacement instructions say its above the brake or gas pedal under dash. Its not above either pedal under dash. I have removed the instrument cluster (Its not there) so I reinstalled it. It is not located in engine compartment only cruise control servo. I'm having a heck of a time locating it.

On my 96 it's on the LH side of the engine compartment right near the brake M/C. Obviously, a 94 may be different.

 

Pre-'97 cruise servo is under the L hood hinge mounted to the cowl horn. '93-03 controller (electric servo) is on top of the servo. Pre-'93 controller (vacuum servo) is above the gas pedal.



Why are you trying to locate it? They don't go bad unless they're submerged. Sounds like that dealership is staffed by lazy idiots.
