lockout hub o-ring?
lockout hub o-ring?
my 4x4 lockout hub o-rings are leaking on both the driver side and passenger side hubs. would anybody happen to know the size of the o-ring?(Inside diameter and outside diameter?) apparently there is no specific o-ring for them according to ford and noone was able to match the size out here. the only way i was able to find a o-ring for it was a hub service kit which napa and ford were both telling me 30 bucks for each kit- 1 kit per side, which i'll just get a set of new warn hubs if thats what i have to do. but if anyone knows anything then it'll be much appreciated
It's a standard o-ring of one sort or another (there are several series.) Take the bad o-ring to your local Parker Store they will size it and sell you a replacement for about $0.50. Ford doesn't make o-rings they buy them from vendors, like Parker
Depends which hub lock you have. If it's a 5-screw auto, I haven't found any vendor for their O-rings yet. (They're not really O-rings; more like rubber bands.)

If it's a 3-screw auto or a manual hub lock, I recently got some from CarQuest, but they weren't labelled, so he couldn't give me a PN (and he didn't charge me for them).
IMO, there's no excuse for Warn Premiums. They're so overrated & overpriced that I wouldn't use them if you gave them to me. MileMarker hub locks are EXACTLY as reliable, have the SAME warranty, and are ~1/2 the cost.

i got 6 screw manual hubs.
and about the mile marker hubs- which ones would you recommend? i didnt even think about them because i never hear anything about them. everyone gets the warn hubs. but if the mile markers are just as good then i'll just go ahead and get new hubs as long as they still have the o-rings.
