1996 F-150 insturment cluster

I have a 1996 F-150 that doesn't have a tech can I replace the insturment cluster from a doner truck with a tech with out any problems? I have a 5 speed and know it will have to be one from a straight drive.

"Tach" (-ometer)

Yes, you can swap in any '94-96 (& '97 over 8500GVWR except diesel) cluster. You can also swap in a '92-93 if you transfer a '94-96 film circuit onto it.

Your current PSOM (programmable speedometer odometer module) will swap from your present instrument cluster to the new one with the tach. That way you can keep your mileage intact if that matters to you.
