a sound i never wanted to hear

while doing some electrical trouble shooting, while the truck was idling, out of no where it started knocking like no tomorrow...

has plenty of oil and oil pressure... sounds like its on the passenger side in either #3 or #4 cylinder... a compression test later will tell...

Have you ever done any mods to the motor? Never heard of a connecting rod just giving up like that, especially with somewhat low milage. Are you going to rebuild it?
