Sweet deal, will make a nice combo when done for cheap. Interesting combo of a Lariat with power and they didn't get the $50 tach.

adrianspeeder 06-05-2009 09:47 PM

Lookin' good, even though I love those classy '80-'91 extended cab windows.

DAsteve 06-06-2009 11:03 PM

Bump for not being classy and taking all the old parts out of it... now decided im going to use original dash and try to find grey 87-91 door panels

adrianspeeder 06-08-2009 05:39 AM

Actually have a question for once here, how the fawk did you get that dash out? I've gota 150 cab waitin' to scrap, and will be gettin' a bronco tub when I get back to take the dash out. Pulled every screw I can possibly see from the top and bottom and it's rock solid on there.

\\ = class. heh heh

i am going to answer your question with a question... did you take these bolts out?
http://i632.photobucket.com/albums/u...100_0578-1.jpg

adrianspeeder 06-11-2009 08:13 PM

Yup, I had the steering column out allready, can't remember about the one on the left, but that would explain it. When I return that's on the list to check. Then I can scrap the cab.

i actually dont know what that is for... i think if i wanted to make it a stick. i would have to get one with a hole in it and bolt that one in, could be wrong though but anyway post up some pics of your 89

DAsteve 07-26-2009 05:50 PM

FX4_2003 08-16-2009 07:11 AM

I am sort of fixing to do the same thing with my 1993 F 150 .. Katrina hurricane victim truck ... It has been sitting out at our old country house for about a year now .. Still has a good running 4.9 L motor.. But there is no bed on it , thanks to the big Oak tree that fell across it.. I am going to follow your thread ... Nice idea .. I always like fixing up the older trucks and cars... It's proof of how much better stuff was built back then,, Hey by the way we got the same seats with the console I bought mine from a junk yard ..

Here is the old truck as we took off the steam cleaner and laid it to rest about one year ago it has not been started for almost 6 months now...

Thanks for the compliments! Its a lot of work, as yall know the older they get the more of a pain they get to be! Cant wait to see the lift on it. Hows the progress with the front end coming along? Make sure you take plenty of pics and document it, I wish I would have taken pics of all the stuff I have done.
