Why are you posting a question about a '97 in the PRE-97 forum???

Because 97 F250s are identical to the 96s.

It's not just a simple unplugging of the DRL module. There are some connections that will need to be made to complete the by-pass. The best advice I can offer is to get a copy of the EVTM for your truck and compare sections 85 and 97

Duuuhhh...:o I missed the "250" part.

Unplug the DRL module & install the DRL jumper. The connector is below & inboard of the L headlight. You can access it by removing the grille.

Is the DRL jumper a Ford part or is it a homemade set of splices that repair the missing connections?

It's what Ford put in most (if not all) '94-96 US trucks. I think the DRL module was only used in Canadia.

Because most DRL systems (including the one in question) shut down when the e-brake is NOT fully released (first click).

Aren't you supposed to be mopping bird crap off a runway somewhere? When you have a few minutes to spare, read the latest BS from 'that other BBS'...

Nope, scraped some off of a horizontal stab 65' up in the air though the other day. Mmmm, pidgin!
