Removing Pilot Bearing

After a couple of attempts, should I just get the puller designed to do the job? I saw a few alternative methods but I'm burnt out.
The Ford "special tool" is T59L 101 B and goes on the end of a slide hammer
Didn't see a listing for one at harbor freight, looks like some similar are at ebay. I don't know, never saw one before
This thing isn't budging with my collet blind bearing puller, but I did manage to yank out the roller bearing. That's probably not a good thing

I have a rod that was turned on a lathe to just fit into the Pilot Bearing/Bushing.
I fill the hole with grease then take the rod and start it in the hole and then hit the rod with a hammer and it will come popping out.
