AC question

Hey guys, got a problem with my ac in my 95 xlt, 5.0 v8. Had new AC system installed 2 years ago, and new clutch last week. At about 45-50 mph the ac whether on normal or max, the air will switch from the front vents to the vents for defrosting. It will usually switch back after about 5-10 seconds, or if you shut it off completely. Would that be a vacuum problem and how hard to repair or what? Thanks in advance for any help. This sight is GREAT!!

Yup, leak somewhere. No vacuum default is the defrost.

Inspect the white line under the R hood hinge.

The white hose is cracked in two places, coming out of the vacuum motor and then going into the wiring harness. How long of a hose is this vacuum hose and how easy is it to replace?

Break off the damaged section, take it to a parts store, and buy a few feet of rubber hose that fits tightly over it. You might have to peel the wiring harness open for an inch to get to some undamaged tubing. And if the damage goes up to the rubber elbow at the vacuum motor, just delete the elbow.
