Ignition Coil

I am chasing a miss in my 93 F150. It has a 5.8 in it. I had fuel pump problems and it was running lean so I replaced the rear pump, what a wrestling match that was! Why can't they cut access plates into the bed? Anyway it run's better but still has a miss. I put a new coil in it last week because it was arcing on both sides of the coil. Last night I checked it again and the new coil is arcing. Should there be a rubber insulator under the coil? Also my plug wires are leaking spark. I jut put them on not to long ago but I remembered that the wires had been sitting on the shelf in my garage for a few years. I bought new ones today.
