Replacing my '91xlt

With a 2007
http://i185.photobucket.com/albums/x...D/DSC03826.jpg

Having to many problems with the 91 with over 250,000 miles, I need a truck that is reliable. Hope I get the service from the '07 that the '91 gave me.

You should keep the 91 for hauling stuff that would bang up your 2007.

I think you'll really like it. My dad has a 07 FX4 with the 5.4. It's a really nice truck. He has a 27' Sport Craft that he tows with the 150 and it does pretty good. The boat and the trailer weigh around 10,000lbs and it tows it no problem. He sets the cruise on 70 and goes 90 miles to our campground. Only thing is it sucks down the gas when towing it but that's kind of to be expected. I've drove it a few times and it rides and handles sooo much better than my 96.

I would but having some problems keeping it running and no parts stores close to run to for parts. Need a vehicle every day that is reliable. I am sure someone with the time to mess with it can get it going good again.

250,000 is an honorable run. I have a 91 XLT myself at 91,000, let's hope she makes it that far.

I will say that the old ones are tough. I bought mine for $1,000 two months ago up here in PA because it had a huge dent in the drivers side bed. It had a dent because it was hit by a darn combine on the farm where the owner lived. If your truck can take a hit from a combine and keep on the road...I can't speak any louder for character than that.

My opinion: as long as you stick with FORD, you'll be happy.

May not take a lot to fix her, someone with the time and the know how. The truck is still solid, still had good oil pressure. Just do not want to put a lot of money in it and still have a 18 year old truck. No shops or parts stores close by (about 60 miles) for help!
