I run SuperTech 20W50, but am probably going to switch to straight 30 this next time around. As for a filter, Motorcraft FL-1A if Wal-Mart has it or SuperTech equiv.
Running straight 30 in the 86 5.0 Bronco right now, same filters.
5.0 L V8 1992-93 185 hp (140 kW) 270 lb·ft (365 N·m)

If the engine is in good shape, 10w30 should be good. Any good name brand, I like Pennzoil. Motorcraft oil filter, I'm not sure if your 1993 would take a FL-1A or FL820s. They should have a book where you buy your filters. It would help to know where you live to suggest an oil weight.
i'm in maryland. so right now its 30/40 degrees, but the truck won't be driven a whole lot till the summer
i just run napa synthetic oil which is made by valvoline and a napa(wix) filter. i was running 15w50 oil in the summer and 10w30 in winter, but i'm gonna start using 10w30 year round. my dad just reccommends thicker oil in the summer so thats what i did.
