electrical problems!!!

alright my 1990 f150 has multiple electrical issues. first off my rear anti-lock light came on and wont turn off. second my turning signals are acting funny. my right turning signal will turn on but it wont blink, it just stays on and my left turning signal wont even turn on. Also when i went to the grocery store this morning it took my 2 tries to get it started. that normally doesnt ever happen typically it starts on the first try. i also noticed that i have no brake lights and when i turn my hazard lights on only my turning signals up front light up. Anybody got any ideas on what it could be? i posted in the electrical section but i havnt gotten any replies yet so i figured i would try this section too. Sorry about being so ancy i just cant figure out what the problem is and i need to get it fixed asap since its my daily driver. Thanks in advance.

Sounds like a bad ignition switch. This is located on top of the steering column behind the trim panels. If all this happened at once, this is the first place to start. Could be several problems, but I would start here. ABS is probably not related. Have to pull the code on that one. Headlight switch could cause multiple problems also.

check your battery and alternator. ABS requires about 80 amps, the battery provides some and the alternator makes up the difference, if one of them don't put out enough juice it will set the light or take it in and have a brake guy check the ABS. You could have a bulb out or the turn signal switch is going bad.

Had a similar problem with mine a couple years ago, signals worked when they wanted to and the hazards rarely did. Check the bulbs for corrosion, I had one rear brake bulb that was badly corroded on the contacts, changed it out and no problems since. Just an easy and cheap thing to take a look at

Sounds like the wiring under the truck has been cut.
You have no load on the flashers and that is why the front lights stay on and no rear lights.
If you have two tanks is the rear tank working?

Sounds like you have more than one problem. This one sounds like you may have a column problem.

Ditto. If the ABS light remains lit, could be as simple as low brake fluid, hanging float switch in the reservoir. The column would be the likely convergence point for the rest of the sound & light show.
