Unhappy 1994 wont' start

I am working on my brothers 94 5.0 EFI Bronco, and it will not start. He was driving yesterday and it began to backfire then stall, then backfire and then died. Hasn't been able to start since. It cranks with no problem. I checked using a voltmeter to one of the plug wires and I gots spark. It gave me a 33 code which is EGR, but that wouldn't cause to not start. It just seems like its not getting fuel. I can not hear the fuel pump at all, are you supposed to be able to hear it run?

Any advice would be much appreciated, Thanks!

Well in a 1994 a 33 code will only apply to a 7.3L Diesel.
You say it is a 5.0 so in 1994 you should have three numbers in the code not two.
Yes you should hear the fuel pump run for one second when you turn on the key and then stop.
You have spark and no fuel and no running of the pumps.
I would go ahead and ground pin #6 of the test connector, turn on the key and see if the fuel pump runs while the key is on.

If it does not run I would try resetting the fuel shut off switch in the right kick panel. If it is OK and you have power at the switch then check the plug near the tank. If you have power there you will then need to change the fuel delivery module inside the tank.

If the pump did run when you grounded pin #6 with the key on then you may have a bad PCM Computer.

The test connector but the wire colors and wire numbers may be wrong:

Thanks,
I am assuming the pin #6 is on the ECC connector on the driverside firewall under the hood.

Yes that is where it is on the F150 and I think the BRONCO is the same.

Sounds like the fuel pump went out to me. Try beating on the bottom of the tank while someone cranks the engine. If it starts, presto.
