Fuel Injectors

i would like to change the fuel injectors in my truck for the reasons of that the ones i have are old and would help performance wise prolly to change them i was wanting to know how to do this and to know what injector i should use i was wanting to get some for performance from jegs or summit and can i run a higher lbs/per hour in my motor to get more hp?I have a 1990 Ford F-150 with a 5.0L

Increasing the injector size without doing the other mods required to support the bigger injectors (heads, cam, etc.) will add exactly zero horsepower and may give drivability issues

isnt much you can do, as far as bolt on performance stuff on these trucks.(without updating the injection systems or using a carb) the computer and injection systems are kinda lacking in the adaptability department for non oe parts.but it can be done

You really should learn how it all works before spending money on "performance" parts.

Can I hear an "Amen"?

Get a copy of How to Understand, Service and Modify Ford Fuel Injection & Electronic Engine Control 1988-Current by Charles O. Probst ISBN 0-8376-0301-3 published by Robert Bentley. Once you understand how it works, youi'll begin to figure out which modifications work, which won't help and which are just snake oil.

I gave you the ISBN number. With that you can order it at any book store on the planet. Online, presumably it would be available from the publishers, I gave you their name as well; you can look up their web site from that. I've not checked but I'd guess that it's available for motorbooks.com or amazon.com as well

If your going to modify the motor then you can use bigger injectors but you will have to change your mass air it has to be calabrated to the injectors... If your not going any mods bigger injectors wont help...
