It's a 302. Many things are the same, many others convert over. But there are a lot of car 302 parts you really don't want to use on a truck engine due to the torque curve they create. What is it you are wanting to use?

"...a lil morepower." Like 50%?

There are truck-specific kits for the superchargers. Why not use one of them instead of cobbling together a Mustang kit?

You definitely want to gab the injector harness, Computer & MAF w/wires which you can use to upgrade your truck from speed density (MAP) to MAF & Split bank fired injectiors to singular sequential injector firing. A bit of a project, but you'll glad you did. One of the few things you can do that results in better performance & better MPG at the same time. Plus Map systems are very limited in their adaptibility to induction Mods.

The 302 HO is a much better motor than the 5.0 truck motor.. Dost make any differance what year.. You need to keep your truck intake for the torq.. Edlbrock makes a nice intake for the truck .. Is your truck mass air ?? I have a 95 with 302 HO

Ok then its speed density... If you want to swap the mustang stuff over to the truck. You need the mustang computer & Wiring harness.. Its a big job but then you should be able to swap the cam ..intake ..mass air ...injectors over to the truck... I would go to mustang forums & ask them theres some people on there that can help you with that.. not much performance stuff on this site .. with or truck we use the ho motor to start with but our truck was a roller 5.0 to start with just not the ho... the best way to tell if its a roller 5.0 is look at the firing order on your truck if is the same as the stang then its a roller if it isnt its not .. also keep an eye on your throtle posisioning senser when thy go bad your truck will be real dogie wont go untill you put it to the floor thats a comon problem...
