Ok so i have an F150, 1986. On the bed of the truck on each side their is a part that the latch goes into. On both sides these are missing. I cant find them anywhere. Ive heard them called "striker plates" i think, but not sure. Looks like they are attached by 2 screws. If anyone has an old F150 sitting around or knows where i can get me 2 of these please let me know. Ive tried the websites but i don't want to order them if im not sure im getting the right thing. Thanks for your help!

looks like you need #19 on the tailgate diagram

 

speaking of tailgates, I can't open mine, the handle looks to be a big part of the problem as it's crooked. Drivers side won't latch and passenger side I can't get to unlatch.

any ideas

 

Thanks for your help guys. I saw # 19 on their too and wasnt sure. But now Im going to go ahead and order them and they should be right, hopefully.
