I have a question about the temp. gauge that you changed a while back. Mine is inop and so I removed the gauge cluster to examine it. I don't see how changing just the temp gauge is possible. The back of the cluster seems to be one unit. It's covered with a circuit board made of thin flexible plastic. Does this sound like the one you have?

Hi, You can't change just the temp guage....Well you can but you have to buy the oil/temp compo so you might as well change both. It is real easy. It looks a lot more intimidating that it really is.
All you do is order the part, I paid I believe $100 for it. You "DON"T" have to remove the entire cluster. Just remove the clear plastic (FRONT)
lense that covers the cluster and the temp/oil guage assy pulls right out. Replace and put back together.
I did it last summer and it took maybe an hour or so. That's with also cleaning the cluster before putting it back together.
I looked throught the old threads from last year and cut some info I posted. Hope it helps ya....See below
Part # F8TZ-10883-BA TEMP GAUGE
Now, mine is a '96 but the dash is the same from 92-96
When you look for the part they are going to ask if you have a tach and and have the production date ready for them.

Jimbello,
Thanks for the help I paid $80 for it from the dealer and have it installed. It was as easy as you said and it works great. Thanks again.
