You can usually find the Mass Air kit in Summit or Jegs. YOu can do those mods with your current set up, but you'd have to ask the people that you order all your parts from and see what they say.

I'd say go for a mild cam, and intake. I'd also port and polish your heads, and leave the heads alone, you can always add heads later on after a few mods. It will be a lot cheaper if you just port and polish them.

I'd also add a set of full length headers, and an exhaust.

Do the mass air conversion first. You will not get the results you want until the computer can adapt for more air flowing through the engine. Which is what a intake, cam, or almost any other modification will do. My .02.

murphydo,

the body lift was a very simple install. if you are going to attempt to install one, make sure you have some good jacks and a buddy to help ya out (4 hands work better than 2). it took a friend of mine and i about 4 hours to install mine, and that was taking our time and making sure all the bolts wer nice and tight. if you have access to air tools then use them, they will make the job much easier. good luck!

thanks for all the information guys! i got another question, whats a good price for an engine rebuild? im gonna start getting quotes from shops in my area and i want to know what a decent price would be. the engine has about 80,000 miles and i think it would benefit from a rebuild before i start with the mods. thanks a lot for the info guys!

while you are having it rebuilt have it bored out .030. I don't know if they included that. Then if you don't get new heads port an polish your ones. Add a mild cam, headers, MAS air, I'd do an intake. If it was me I'd make it carbeurated. Much easier to work on in my opinion.
