Question 302 SWAP FOR CARBURETOR 460

Hey guys.
I'm swapping my 302 EFI/4wd E4OD trans out of my 1991 F-250 for a 460 big block/C6 trans out of a 1983 f-250.
Any suggestions for installation would help.
If you need any after market parts for a 302/E4Od trans checkout my home page. All engine and trans parts are going!

I think you will need the motor mount brackets and rear cross member from the older truck + replumb the fuel system + disable the computer stuff if the 83 does not have a computer / check engine bulb & eec4 module should be all you need to take out. You will have to remove the in-tank fuel pump and the high pressure pump on the frame rail behind the driver's seat and run a suction line from the tank to the engine fuel pump. I hope that gets you started. It should be a runner when it's done.

Instead of repluming the fuel system, can i just use a fuel pressure regulator and set it around 6psi?

The hi pressure pump needs good EEC-IV signal to run. you might be able to remove it & patch in a hose to the engine pump.
