Question '70 F-250 with lockers?

I have a 1970 2WD F-250 that I have had since I was 16. For the last two years, it has mostly been sitting in my garage collecting dust. I can't bear to get rid of it, so I would like to modify it a bit into my fishing and hunting rig. These old trucks ride incredibly low, especially the 2WD's, so, one of my questions is...
Will a body lift, bigger tires, and lockers be adequate for mostly hilly terain and a little mud (stress not very deep mud!), or should I be looking at a different setup? Any tips or suggestions are greatly appreciated!

sounds like that would do just fine. your sig says it has a 360 motor, how is it running? make sure you have a good running engine before anything else. also make sure you have a strong tranny, cuz you dont want to break down in the middle of nowhere, it sucks (i speak from experience). since its a 2wd and youre gonna go offroad with it, you might want to invest in a winch. other than that you should be ok with a lift and bigger tires. i take my truck offroading all the time (look at my sig) and i have a blast. one thing i need to invest on are lockers though, they help traction a LOT! good luck!

Thumbs up

Sounds like a cool piece of old Iron!

Depending on the terrain youll be traveling, all you might need is good tires! Good tires and a limited slip rear diff will take you almost anywhere! Everything else is for looks. The only difference is with two wheel drive, you will have to air down your tires depending on what you drive on. Drive your 4x4 off road in 4x2, youll be amazed what you can do!
