Question CONVERTING TO MAF

Has anyone converted their speed density setup to Mass air flow?
What options do i have?
Can i go to a junkyard and pull the system out of a MAF truck?
Thanks,
Jerry D

Take a look at the archives: Do a search and search in this forum under the word "convert". Here is a good thread for you:

Email if you have more questions.. another option is to look in Muscle Mustangs and Fast Fords, one of the advertisers, I think its Interactive Systems & Technologies.. sells a cheapo conversion harness (you splice into your factory harness but thats not that big a deal) and source the computer and MAM from a junk yard..

Thanks for the help.
I just talked to a Ford tech today. He said that they don't make a conversion kit for a 1991 f-250 5.0L with a E4OD trans. He told me to checkout a company called Pro M.Have you ever heard of this company?

Yes, they probably make a conversion kit. Another option might be to use the 5-spd conversion kit and find a company that sells a stand-alone computer to run your E40D. I am not an expert on automatics, never even owned one! Pro-M is one of the biggest makers of after-market mass-air meters. Look in any mustang mag and they are mentioned 100x. Can't help you on a website URL but you might want to read some of the archives in the Corral, I'll bet you find it..
