Hey guys. I did a quick search but no luck.
I'm looking at buying ASAP a 1994 4x4 5.0L and I assume an E4OD. The owner says it occasionally shifts hard in all gears, there is no OD, no blinking lights or anything. I don't mind messing with sensors but I hate to buy this and find out I need to go internal.

Any help appreciated

 

first i'd check the fluid level. and if the tranny code says e then its the e40d. if not then its a 4r70

 

Do you mean the OD light is not flashing or do you mean the OD does not work? One is a good thing, the other is not so good

Behind a 302, it's more likely to be a 4R70W than an E4OD
