I took my truck in today for what I thought was just an exhaust leak so I did not pull out the superchip. The service rep called and said that it needs a PTC(?) computer. Is this the computer under the kick panel where the superchip goes? Is it poosible that the superchip has caused some damage to this (if it is the same computer)? The chip has been in there about 9 months. Thanks--

You should talk directly with Mike Troyer. If I remember correctly the Superchip will sometimes cause some false codes to be thrown.

By nature the chip can't harm the computer. Even an improperly tuned chip shouldn't affect the computer itself.
