Traded one for what I have now. I got to know it pretty good in 55K. It was a Centaurion aftermarket. It had 3" cat & exhaust & K&N fipk.

Well, it's a 92 but if you park it side by side a 95 not many could tell they were different years.

Ordered it new and took delivery Nov. 1994. It now has 64,000 miles and I'm pretty happy with it. I have had the classic cracked exhaust manifold on the left side twice. The first time dealer replaced it under warranty, second time around I did the exhaust in signature.
The temp gauge is currently inop (fairly common from what I hear) just havn't got around to changing it.
I live in the Northeast so winter weather is a factor. Drivers rocker panel seems to be a reaccuring problem. Dealer has repaired it twice under warranty. I guess next time it's mine.
Limited slips front and back are the BEST, but only when they work. My rear limited slip has pretty much given up. The break out torque is now so low it's pretty much useless It just didn't seem to be to durable. Still have one in the FRONT though, to bad that factory option is no longer available.
After all the mods were completed I'm not to sure of the results. The larger tires seemed to hurt the performance more than I expected. It's no slouch, but I expected better. Also the gas milage seems to have suffered somewhat more than I expected. I figured with the increase in power I wouldn't be using as much pedal, but that doesn't seem to matter.
Talking about the mods; overall I love the shocks, tires, intake and exhaust, not to sure about the chip (although the shifting is greatly improved the torque converter seems to lock up too early.)

1995 5.8 4x4 auto ext cab:
101,000 miles and going strong

Good to see others out there with a similar setup. I purchased my truck new and it has served me well. I put a lot of miles on my truck, on road and off, and I am always looking for performance suggestions. What aftermarket products might any of you suggest for exhaust, air filters, chips, etc...
Thanks,
Dan

Hey chef. I wanna buy a 96 F-150. Are they great trucks? Have you or any of your friends had any problems other than wear and tear? I found a 96 F-150 Eddie 4x4 w/5.0,auto,ext. cab w/58000 miles. Its in great shape but the dealer wants $15888 for it. Is that a great price or not? I don't wanna buy a truck thats gonna go **** up after 100000 miles. I've seen many great things about the F-150 on paper but would rather hear it from actual owners. Please, any info would be appreciated.

Lilranger. The F150 4X4 short box Super Cab is, IMHO, the best pick up money can buy. My dad had a 96 EB with the 302 auto, it was a beauty! I don't know what the rear end gearing was but my only complaint was that in hilly country the truck cycled in and out of OD way too much. It made driving it a PITA so when in that kind of country you just kept it in drive. A truck like that up here new in 96 was over 30 thousand. 15,888 doesn't seem out of line.

I too have a '94 xcab, s/b 4x4 302 auto w/ manual shift 4x4 and 142,000 miles. Bought it 7 months ago w/ 129,000. The truck is great, but not big enough for the 5 of us(3 kids) It is for sale for $7500.00 obo I want to replace it w/ a '96 or '97 F-350 cc srw 4x4 powerstroke auto. I like the '92-'97 body style.
