Question Replacement Engines

I'm considering purchasing a F150 (93, 4x4, SC, 351ci, AT) with 215,000 miles.

Is owned by a horse Veterinarian, who used it for his practice. It appears to be in great shape, and runs well, but I'm a bit leery of the mileage.

Assuming I don't get too many more miles on the engine, I would be interested in folk's experiences with replacement engines.

Remanufacured? Rebuilds? Which is better?
What's the approximate cost, all told?
Other issues/problems?

Thanks,

Russ

The 351 is/was a common and popular engine. There should be lots of options available to you, such as a rebuild, one from a wrecker, a new crate etc., should you need to replace the one in the truck. My advice is to do your homework on the sources you have available in your area and remember you only get what you pay for.
